About Us – Singapore Couple Birders
We are a bird-loving couple based in Singapore who spend most of our free time exploring forests, wetlands, and remote corners of Asia in search of extraordinary wildlife encounters. What began as a casual weekend hobby has grown into a passion that shapes our travels, friendships, and daily lives.
Our birding journey started right here in Singapore. With each new species we encountered—whether a shy pitta deep in the undergrowth or a jewel-toned kingfisher perched against the mangroves—we felt an expanding sense of wonder. Soon we found ourselves planning trips around migration seasons, researching habitat hotspots, and learning from local guides across the region.
Today, our focus is:
- Sharing reliable birding information based on our actual field experience
- Promoting ethical and respectful bird photography
- Highlighting underrated but outstanding birding sites in Asia
- Supporting local guides and conservation-minded communities
We created this blog to document memorable sightings, offer practical tips for visiting birding sites, and connect with birders worldwide. If our stories help someone plan a successful trip, discover a new target species, or simply appreciate nature a little more, then this project is already meaningful to us.
Whether you are a seasoned birder chasing lifers or someone just beginning to notice the beauty of birds around you, we hope our posts inspire your next adventure.
Thank you for visiting, and happy birding!

Our fascination with wild birds began with a kingfisher we encountered in a park in Japan. It was nearing evening, but its sky-blue body stood out beautifully against the sunset. We were captivated by its long beak, short legs, and adorable appearance with its large black eyes.
